I am having an issue with fencing. I can build a fence outside of a room, however I cannot put a fence inside of a room.
I have built a building with a center courtyard, this is open, no roof no floor so it is classed as an outside space. I cannot add a fence into this area, it builds but it is invisible.
I can build a fence if I remove one of the walls or if there is still concrete on the ground but not on the grass
@theonlytatortot I can reproduce what you're saying, and I remotely remember this from the past, I believe. So, I tried a workaround that I think is what I did on several lots in the past:
Can't draw fencing:
Can't move fencing over that was drawn in the yard:
First, delete one piece of the wall surrounding the courtyard, then draw your fencing:
Next, with the wall tool re-draw/replace the piece of the wall surrounding the courtyard:
In addition to what @SheriGR has posted, if you don't want or need to use terrain paint in the courtyard, you can leave the original concrete and cover it with a grass-colored floor tile.
