New Sims replaced household that's dead

I did not know what happens if I kept my sim to repair after being electrocuted once. I just started a new save in a San Francisco apartment that has that gremlin curse. I was fine, my sim wasn't much experience yet, but I thought he could do since he'll need it later for his acting career. So, he did after the second electrical repair. I am living with that and placed a new a household in it. He just was about to have Arun and Bheeda to sleep over, just because they asked. They didn't made it in before he finished dying. but he need to fix the oven even though the next task I was going to order food since the fridge was next and I didn't want them to wait that long. I moved my new sims in, but the sleep over is still happening. It's okay if given as a choice to keep that happening, but that doesn't make sense where the consent is from that ghost now. By the way this is my first death I ever played up to in the sims. I didn't last long enough for anyone to die, but this was so early.

To avoid dying from electrocution wait until the Dazed moodlet goes away before trying the repair again or call a handyman using your phone.

Even though he is now a ghost he still lives there unless you click on the urn and select to release him.
