No Longer Able to Write a Bestseller (Patch 1.101)

Are you doing the Bestselling Author aspiration? I feel you; I feel like bestsellers are nerfed when you’re on the last milestone of that aspiration. Once you get your five it seems to go back to normal.

Yes.  My other sim completed this aspiration without any problems.  It only took my other sim 4 tries to get 3 bestsellers.  I tried doing the same thing with this sim without any results.  I have gone above and beyond with this sim to make sure they are very inspired with all of their needs met, but still no bestsellers.  Are you able to write a bestseller right now?  I know there is a bug with masterpieces and bestsellers becoming only excellent quality in your inventory after the last update so I didn't know if this is also affecting writing bestsellers.

My sims are stii able, but it very rare. At least  you can write a song to get famous)) dont even try it with paintings, they are completely broken....I tried to substitute the "song" buff into "painting" it works as indended unless you wrote a song while painting))) but the paintings are broken at their core ...I checked this with "test_mod", where every nominatin chance was 100% and it  it worked everywhere, but not the paintings you made. But once I have been nominated sellin the painting the guest made and it was low-skilled child drawing that should not be by design, you can not earn fame selling others pictures, but somehow you can) digging deeper into the code - the "object_criteria" seems to not work as intended

My writer Sim wrote two bestsellers last night, but she’s completed the aspiration AND has creative visionary.

FWIW she also completed at least two masterpiece paintings.

She’s not fresh out of CAS, though. She’s actually the first Sim I ever created back in 2017, although I imported her into a new save (with all her skills) probably a year ago. I don’t know if that makes a difference.

The sim has loyal, family-oriented, romantic, handy, expressionistic, piper, angler's tranquility, never weary, naturalist, companion and alluring.  My other sim that didn't have a problem writing a bestseller had these exact same traits except for expressionistic at the time.  The sim I am having trouble with had written one bestseller before they started working on the last milestone of the best selling author aspiration where they actually need to write 3 bestsellers.  Since then I have tried everything to get them to write a bestseller to no avail.
