No option to cook/bake a cake?

The baking a cake option doesn't come up in my game for the Sims 4. I don't know why. I can cook everything else fine but when I try to make a cake ,there is no cake available to bake. Please help i...

Do you have any Mods or CC? If so move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game.

  Found the problem it wasn't a mod at all. Its certain stoves that don't work, it wont allow you to make food it states no stove available. Must be an issue with the patch. I deleted that stove bought the same stove and didn't work. Then bought another stove that was different and that one worked. Tried other stoves as well and some worked and some did not. For clarification the stoves I am talking about are not custom content but came with the game.
