As the title says I haven't played in a long time. I went to play today and installed all the new updates, pressed play when it launched and every household I had is gone about 1800 hours total game play. Anyone know if its even possible to get them back?
@MissMadd15 Do you see any saves in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves? If so, please post a screenshot of that folder. You can also check the Documents directory in OneDrive (Windows) or iCloud (macOS): both services will often move files to cloud storage when space gets low on the computer.
If you don't find any saves, let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS and whether you're running the Legacy Edition of Sims 4.
What @puzzlezaddict said. All of your saves and households and the like are stored on your hard drive, in the places @puzzlezaddict mentioned. If your hard drive died and was replaced and you had no backup, they're gone. ☹️ Hopefully they just ended up in a nonstandard place somehow (perhaps when you updated your version of Windows/MacOS? or when your machine ran out of space).
