Oh, I know. I like to overcomplicate my life. :p I also toss a copy of my mods and saves folders onto an external drive just for redundancy because of that one time I nearly lost a 25+ generation save when my Sims 4 folder got overwritten. I delete files from the desktop folder after I place the updated one in the new mod folder.
*I was nearing the 150+GB range myself, but I delete my entire mods folder every few months and rebuild it. Keeps it under control... sort of.
