Outdated career mod question

I am wondering if an outdated career mod would cause game glitches and L.E's even though no sim in the save has that career?

I encountered a problem, and was getting spammed with L.E's and when I looked at the last exception the word career was repeated, so I looked through my mods and found a career that I thought I had deleted. I removed it, but also rolled back to a previous save, so though it seems like this fixed the problem, I'm not sure.

If the answer to my question is yes, then it may be fixed, but if it's no, I'll have to keep looking.
