Pressure cooker freezes sim

When my sim went to use the pressure cooker she froze. I could go to manage world and back in to get her to do one task but she would then freeze again. This continued until I got rid of her used the pressure cooker buff, went to manage world and then back in. After that no issues. I don't use any mods.
