[Question] How to safely remove mods?

As I mentioned in this comment, I recently installed a mod. I don't normally play with them, and I want to make sure I can safely remove it to update my game. Do I just delete it from my folder and remove the cache? Do I remove the cache before deleting the mod?

    Twisted Mexi usually gives very specific instructions on removing his mods-some are more delicate than others.

    Check where you got the mod, and see what it says about removing. Cheers!

    Definitely make sure you delete the localthumbcache file after removing the mod. Any time you change your mod folder, delete that file so it can refresh.
