Make sure you have done your prep tasks. Increase your acting skills level 5 is pretty low.
As long as you get gold on a gig the career will progress.

Yo were right, I leveled her skills some more and new gigs finally appeared. It's a hard profession to level in, lots of work for little pay at the beginning.
