@SmileyGirl1221 Please repair the game: open your EA App game library, click Sims 4, and select Manage > Repair. Please move the Mods folder to the desktop before testing; you don't need to save your progress.
If that doesn't help, please start a new save, for comparison's sake, and see what happens.
I downloaded the game through steam and I don't have the option to repair on the ea app. This is seriously plaguing me because my son just got deleted.
@Anime_emipre838 You can repair in Steam instead. The option is called "Verify the integrity of the game files" or similar, and it used to be under Properties > Local files but may have moved.

If a sim has disappeared in-game, and you can't quit without saving, try reverting to a backup save.

It did not work the aspirations are still gone
I am also having this issue. I just removed my mods folder and booted the game and it worked fine. Put the mods back in and all the aspirations, except creativity, are gone again ☹️ definitely a mod issue but I'm not sure which one
Found the devil! The broken mod is: Child Aspirations Bundle by BossladyTV. Picture attached of what the files will display as in folder

I am having the same problem and I repaired game and looked for the mod everyone mentioned that could be making it not work still the same result. Please help of you can. I'm experiencing the same issue. I've already repaired the game and checked for the mod that everyone mentioned could be causing the problem, but I'm still getting the same result. Can you please help me with this?
@Anime_emipre838 @Misfitpanda25 Please test with no mods or custom content at all, as in, move the Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. You don't need to save your progress.
@Misfitpanda25 All Children's and Teen's aspirations were broken by the patch, and adult aspirations will also need updating (although many creators won't do that urgently, as they work in game). Please see Broken/Updated Mods & CC
I found the problem it was the lifetime aspirations mod by KY-e
ALSO, SnB bills mod.
@Misfitpanda25 All Children's and Teens Aspirations (which means Lifetime Aspirations, though it was already broken, I think) and SNB Bills are broken per Broken/Updated Mods & CC . You might also want to look through that for other mods to remove and update.

The same thing happened to me and I lost my child sim.
@DReisch23 Actually losing the Sim can't result from these mods being broken. You might want to post about that problem on Game Issues . The issue with these mods is that they don't appear in the CAS menu on Children or Teens, where they should. It's a CAS issue, not a function issue.
Thank you, I think both things just happened at the same time. I have to keep combing through my mods to see what the problem is.
