As others have stated, I CAS continuously crashes every time you leave, now another bug I have been getting is the game crashing when I am attempting to travel to another lot. I've tried twice now and it crashed.
I've had no problem with white screens or crashes yet, with all the packs now. Been in CAS several times and made several new Sims and altered lots etc. I play without mods, cc or moo though. Could it be something wrong in those settings, apps?
I am currently playing with 220+ Sims in my game. I'm finding the interactions between Sims a bit more stilted though and especially with pets not being worked through properly in some cases. Sims turning their backs on them etc. but the game itself is still working ok even with Sims taking off to do something before asked to.
The only thing I'm annoyed about is that my Library of Sims, not yet in the game are getting old without even being played yet because of some setting I forgot to click on or just got added. That story icon on the top right of them. It's ok for those in the game to get old but not those not played yet.
Be glad you have not have any problems! I used to be that way with all the updates, but something with this update has made my game have issues with crashing with CAS and loading to different lots.
I've tested with mods and without, my completely clean save that I tested earlier, again a brand new save, after leaving CAS with him to move into a lot it crashed. Loaded back in went into CAS to edit him, of course just testing, left CAS the game crashed
Can confirm the issues are due to mods but I'm trying to find workarounds that I can keep as many as possible.
Can't be just mods, I just tested again without mods. I can confirm the traveling was fine with this clean save, traveled to 2-3 different lots no crashes, but CAS still crashed once exiting it
Odd, the traveling bug I don't get at all.. I always got the cas bug with the exception of a new save with no mods then it didn't crash
I read though some of the reports, I'm not the only one with the issue for CAS without mods. I do wonder what mod is causing the crash for traveling for me though. Could be Turbo's, I feel like I updated mostly everything else needed.
Mine has been working fine after update until it now keeps crashing when traveling. Error code 123:9555dda3:3bc45b99
Now I can't play that sim bc she's in the middle of traveling and it crashes back to the worlds screen every time I try.
And I have it loading without mods.
Ugh sucks, can't wait until they fix the issues! Like I'm currently in my "I feel like playing sims" mood and these crashes are really making me mad. I have to force myself to play other games 😩
Also glad to know someone else is also crashing when trying to travel with no mods
I feel you, it seems to act up more on my good save and it's so dang annoying.. IT RUINED part of my save.. good thing if needed I can maybe back it up. but it shouldn't of happened in the first place! Very unsatisfied!
See mmhmm I'm not messing up my good saves! I make new saves on patch days just to be sure I don't mess up my main saves. I don't even usually update until I know the base game and dlc's are fine and all mods are updated. I'm hurt I updated the game without thinking trying to play the game. I was supposed to go offline first 😭
I know how to fix saves assuming its a modded one.. but you might lose some stuff on your sim... turn off mods.. remove all cas related crash mods..... load into your save but NOT into your household.. ..enter create a sim on the world menu... and just SAVE... then save and exit.. then load the same save with your mods... the game is trying to load your old create a sim settings and is corrupted. I thought of this and it works@
ok, This almost worked :( I did it as you said and from after loading back in the last time and went into CAS with the sim to test and it literally loaded back out to the sim and then crashed hahahaha. IT FOOLED ME! I tested 4 more times and it kept crasing soooo yeah.. I'm going to go cry
