Re: [CC RELATED] Random Sims are shiny and have Texture Overlay

Moving this thread back to tech

I made a new thread for non-cc related (which is mostly the scout uniform that's affected: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-INPUT-A-S-Scout-Uniform-appears-has-random-texture/td-p/7989586

If you have no cc AT ALL (empty mods folder, deleted localthumbcache.package), please use thread above in the bug forum.

If not, please remove all your cc (skins, eyes, eye lashes, overlays ...) and make sure everything is updated before you put it back.

  • A few days ago, I noticed random townies started generating with a small grid-like white pattern all over them. It wasn't all townies, but about 1 in 10.

Today, I installed a bunch of CC. I've never used CC before so I was excited to finally make some pretty sims. This was not an issue in CAS. When I finally placed my sim in her apartment she had this small grid-like pattern. I'm not sure if this is CC related, as again a few days ago pre-cc this was happening to random townies. Has anyone had this happen before? I did and do have 3 mods installed before this, but they have never caused issues in the year I've been using them. They include the Teen pregnancy, Teen-adult mess around/woohoo, and risky woohoo mods.

I own all content except Luxury Party, My First Pet, Bowling Night, Dine Out, and Island Living.

    Mac specs:

    Mojave 10.14.5

    iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)

    3.2 GHz Intel Core i5

    16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

    AMD Radeon R9 M390 2 GB

Moved your post to this bug thread as it is a known issue caused by some CC. Move out your CC, trash the localthumbcache.package file and see if the problem is fixed.
