I have the same problem and i did everything like before but it did not show up in my game. But i play on a external hard drive. So how would i do that then?
@_Manou1996_ The Sims 4 user folder, the one that contains the Mods folder, is always in Documents > Electronic Arts no matter where you've installed the game's program files. If, however, you've used a symbolic link to move the user folder to the external drive, then that's where you need to look. This would have been a separate process, so if you don't think you went through that, you probably didn't.
Regardless, the easiest way to find your user folder is to use the in-game method described here:

Thank you soo much it was easy to find but needed help looking. Everything is working and showing up.
With the new "EA App" launcher, the file structure has completely changed. "The Sims 4" file is now in the "EA Games" file and no longer contains the "Mods" or "Saves" file. I am looking for where is the new location of the "Mods" file?

If you used Origin before the mods folder is in exactly the same place.
Here is an easy way to find out which folder your game is using: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/
What if you just downloaded the EA app on a new device and no longer have the origins folders anymore?
- @DiamondLilyGamer The Mods folder is always in the same place (the Accepted Solution post said that), if it's not present please repair your game in the EA app. Obviously you need to redownload your Mods in the new device, if you don't have access anymore to your old one.
- @puzzlezaddict Do you have any idea where else it may be? I don't even have an electronic arts folder, although I have a sims 4 one
I have tried this but I cant seem to find it anywhere. not in the old origin file or in the new ea folder. please help
nvm I think I just put it in the wrong folder
Try looking into your C:\Programfiles (X86) folder for the previous origin folder
Thank you the link was helpful
- @EliottKtm RIGHT!! I just switched from origins zu the EA App and im completely lost 😞 .. Did you manage to figure out how to download cc regards of the file structure changing?
Oui effectivement le structure des fichiers a changé mais la technique reste la même. Je te conseille de chercher le fichier avec la barre de recherche de ton explorateurs de fichier

The file structure has not changed the Mods folder is in the same place as before.
@EliottKtm See the section on Installing in How to Use Mods and CC
So, I have opened my Electronic arts folder and there is no Sims 4 Folder. There is only an EA app folder. What does that mean and what do I do, and how do I download mods with just an EA app folder? and before you say it, I have opened the EA app folder. There is no Simes 4 folder in there.
@225atatw11t Here's how to find your Mods folder: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/
