@Bluebellflora I search Electronic Arts on my macbook, then click Sims 4 folder and then mods is gone, I tried repairing as people have said to, still didn't work, so today I uninstalled and re installed the game and still it isn't there. All i want to do is remove mods to try and fix my gameplay but i physically cannot find a mods folder to do so, i used to have it as I've added mods but how do i remove mods without a mods folder, I cannot work out where they are on my macbook but they show up when i start the game so they must be somewhere right?

    If a Spotlight search yields a Sims 4 folder it means the folder is not where it should be in Documents > Electronic Arts. This is because for some unfathomable reason only known to EA/Apple the TS4 folder is hidden from search results if in the correct location (Documents > Electronic Arts).  A Terminal search is much more productive:

    Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities) and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:

    find ~ -type d -name "*The Sims 4*" 2>/dev/null

    After a little while it will return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here.

    However, the fact that your game is happily loading your Mods means that the Sims 4 folder is in the correct location which, again, is Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.

    I have pasted what you sent into my applications folder but nothing comes up, have added a screenshot

    You copy and paste the command in my previous post into Terminal. When it has returned the results you copy and paste them into a post here.

    As already explained to you, the Electronic Arts/ Sims 4 folders are hidden from a search. ( @CGrant56  for info). Don't do a search, actually manually open the Documents folder, then the Electronic Arts folder, then the Sims 4 folder.

    Your Terminal results show that your Sims 4 folder is in the correct location on your Mac, in the Electronic Arts folder which is in your Documents folder. Your game is correctly installed and the game is loading data from the correct location. I think it may help you to read up on how to use a Mac.     @Bluebellflora I understand what you're saying, but I cannot physically see the sims4 folder in my EA folder, it isn't there, I need to find it in order to remove my mods and find out which one is causing my game to glitch. I get what you're saying, but I still can't actually click into a sims4 folder because I cannot see one.

    How am I supposed to remove mods from my app without being able to locate the sims4 folder or the mods folder? That's my issue, it appears empty

    @Bluebellflora I searched for it on spotlight as I always have done, the way I used to add mods to the mods folder which is now gone, I've added mods multiple times in the past and I've always been able to find it this way so I dont understand how to do it now that it's gone. I just want to know how to remove mods from my game that's all, as I can't play it right now due to the dodgy mods messing up the game

    Right, and I've already explained why you should not be searching in Spotlight/Finder.

    However you did it before was pure luck and probable misunderstanding. Again, the Electronic Arts/Sims 4 folder is hidden from a search on your Mac. It always has been ever since 2015 when the game was released on Mac. I get, by your own admission, you have very limited understanding of how these things work but if you want to help yourself, follow the instructions we give you, please.

    @Bluebellflora Please can you explain how I remove mods from my game? Just because it makes sense to you doesn't mean I understand what you are saying, I'm trying my best to do what you are saying

    Open a Finder window

    Open the Documents folder

    Open the Electronic Arts folder

    Open the Sims 4 folder

    Open the Mods folder

    If the Documents folder is not showing in Finder go to Finder > Settings > Sidebar and click on the checkbox next to the Documents folder so it shows up (this is basic Mac understanding and is covered in the link I previously gave you to Apple's help page)
