Re: [MOD RELATED] Color options broken

I'm having the same issue -- color options in CAS are either unavailable or do nothing when changed. I even tried randomizing hair etc. to see if that would do anything -- the hairstyle will change, but not the color.

Repairing the game through Origin, deleting localthumbcache, and deleting contents of Origin folders in appdata (local & roaming) are my usual go-to troubleshooting first steps, but none of that worked. Haven't had time yet to do the full reset-the-game-to-factory-settings test process, so idk if that might help, but I figured I'd post a 'me too' here in the meantime.

Okay, so I did some additional testing.

While I was removing weerbesu's UI Cheats Extension mod (since that one is almost always temporarily broken by new patches), I remembered I also have More Columns In CAS installed (also by weerbesu). Since it has to do with CAS, I figured it was as good a place to start as any. So I repaired the game in Origin, deleted the localthumbcache file, and removed the More Columns In CAS mod. When I opened the game and entered CAS, the problem seems to have fixed itself.

As a side note, some of TwistedMexi's mods are broken as well -- an update was just posted for the All Scenarios mod after the patch made skin swatches appear where body hair selectors were supposed to be. (I wouldn't have expected scenarios mod to be impacted by a CAS update, but I guess it makes sense, since starting a new scenario usually has you creating a new Sim in CAS. I'm not a modder though, so idk the exact errors/conflicts involved.)

SO, if anyone reading this has All Scenarios, UI Cheats Extension, or any of the 'More Columns in CAS' mods, maybe try removing those and seeing if that helps. I'm willing to bet that any sort of mod that alters how CAS functions is going to be broken by this patch.

Amazing! Thank you so much for figuring that out. I spent forever last night trying and eventually giving up because I didn't even think to update my more columns mod.

If you have CAS mods (like more colomns) you need to delete it and your game will work again.

This was totally it for me.  Thank you for testing and suggesting removing this Columns mod.  I am back to good.

Oh my god thank you so much! I had completely forgotten about this mod and tried everything under the sun to get my CAS working again. The update for the more columns mod fixed it!
