Tried this as well, with following the broken mods list. Still a white screen ☹️
Lifesaver!!!! Will I have to permantly remove mods or can i put them back in the folder now that I opened the world?
@markibarbi You'll need to do a 50-50 to identify the culprit(s), then. I will be updating the list as we find out what they are!
50-50 : This means organizing the files there into bite-size batches (with any files they require, like XML Injector or a Core Library mod or mesh) and testing one batch at a time. For each test, delete the file called localthumbcache, then put only that batch in Mods. If your game behaves as you expect, set that batch aside as "cleared" and delete localthumbcache again. If it doesn't behave as you expect, take out half the batch and see if you're closer to finding the culprit. Remember to delete localthumbcache each time. You'll find some 50-50 method tutorials online too. Once you isolate the file, you can go find out if there's an updated version.
@jasmineconstable That's progress! Add them back in gradually in batches (with any other mods they depend on) to figure out which one wasn't working.
Please let me know if you find out what mod it is! I'm having the same issue
Fixed this issue by updating TOOL mod, hope this helps.
Okay so what if you dont have any mods then what because mines still white

Try doing a factory reset as described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199
For me at least I found that I just had to remove all cc or mods out of any folders they were in, so if you open the mods folder you would just see documents but no folders.
@katrinnott This means you had outdated mods. Many have been updated and you get the new version. And many of those are listed at Broken/Updated Mods . You can subscribe to that thread for notifications of when there are new posts.
- Ell132 years agoNew ScoutI don't think it's a faulty mod, the game does it for me even with an empty MODS folder and when reinstalling I returned only the Tray folder and it does it again for me it's a bug in the head (EA)

There currently seem to be two issues around.
1. TOOL or other mods/cc (as with every EP). Do make sure you have the newest version of the mods you are using and that they are compatible. You will have this particular issue when you first start your game after installing for rent and trying to enter the world.
2. Corrupted lots prevent the world from loading. This white screen might actually a bit different form the other when it comes to look but I'm not entirely sure. You will usually don't see this right away but it seems to work at first and then stops working when a lot corrupts. This issue has a bug report here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Lot-in-World-corrupts-Map-doesn-t-load-anymore/td-p/13299392/
- Ell132 years agoNew ScoutI did some testing with different combinations and it turned out that deleting the Saves folder from the game helps - the update probably messed up a save and for some reason it caused the world to load incorrectly in all other saves and in new ones if there was a damaged save in the folder... I don't understand , but it works for me, all the mods are fixed, the game runs, but unfortunately I had to start over

Updating the T.O.O.L. Mod fixed my white screen. Not sure if you have it installed too.
This worked for me! Thank you 🙂
