Household will not load since the most recent 8/19 update. I can click on the household I want to play and it goes into the loading screen then eventually just kicks me back to the main select a world screen. My game is clean, no Mods. Is this just me?
Is this happening with all households or just one household? If it is happening with all households, try resetting your sims 4 folder, and testing in a new save game without putting back any of your data in the sims 4 folder and see if the issue remains.

Lava_Girl01 Did you previously have mods or custom content, and you removed them; or did you never have mods or cc? If you did have mods or cc, have you repaired the game? Please try if you haven't already. Some mods can leave traces after they're removed.
If the repair doesn't help, or you never had mods or cc, please try the clean folder listed in the first post of this bug report:

and if that doesn't help either, look for a lastexception and provide it, as described.
I had this problem. It was caused by some of my mods. Rename your mod folder make anew mods folder and gradually move your mods back. I think it might have been a litlemissam mod but I still have a few I didn't put back.

Luthierising asks that you look at the list below of broken mods cc they have provided to check which mods/cc are working. It is different for everyone and if the mod or mods you use are not on the list - check with the creators of the mods in question. See Luthierising's list below:
Please start at Broken/Updated Mods & CC.
Check all your mods for updates - and update where you can. But, each person is different - so you may end up taking the time consuming method of loading groups of mods at a time for eg 5 to 10 - loading the game each time until it fails. That will tell you that a mod in that group caused the fail. So you then have to load the mods from that group one by one - until you work out which one caused the fail. Then set that mod aside until/ or if an update is provided.
Then repeat the above. And you will eventually end up with a game that works with mods it accepts.

I’m having the same issues…. I have tried doing everything and removing mods I still get this….. nothing loads. I can’t see my sims or see in create a sim.
mine still does this it’s been like 3 months these people at ea need jobs…
I'm a console player and this also happens with my legacy household, I can enter any of the other household but not in my legacy heir
LadyNalis2 Please post to Gameplay Issues or Bug Reports as a console player. Your issue isn't the one for this thread. This is for not loading ANY households at all in a modded game.
The mod that broke this for me was jellypaws_ChildLife.package and jellypaws_ChildLife.ts4script. Taking these out fixed the issue
I’m currently having some issues with the new Jan 2026 update it was working fine yesterday until the evening time it won’t get pass main menu “resume game” I removed mods I’m repaired it I even uninstalled and reinstalled I’m completely heart broken because I haven’t played in a while because the last update if anybody could help I would really appreciate it
