Re: Sims are missing
Since the save was like that when you loaded it, I doubt that there is anything that can be done to get them back as whatever happened probably happened when you last saved it. There are a few things you can try that might though.
First, try repairing the game. Then start the game and take a look to see if the sims are back.
If that doesn't work, pull your mods folder and start the game to see if the sims come back. If they do, then it's probably mod or cc related. Then go through your mods and cc to see if you can find whatever is causing it and either update or remove it.
You might also be able to recover an earlier version of the save from before the sims went missing. To do that, go to the Main Menu and hit the Load Game button. Select the save and mouse over the small button that is next to the delete button. It'll say Recover save. Hit that button and you will get a choice of which version to recover. There will be up to 5 versions of the save. Recover the top one. Then load that save to see if the sims are back. If not then go back and select the next one. If the sims are still not there, just go down the list until you either find one where the sims are there or find that none of them have any sims. If you've recovered and checked all versions and the sims are missing in all of them, then unless you have another save, you will have to start a new save.
