Re: T pose glitch

Hi @kitten5710

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

  • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
  • Tray Folder
  • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
  • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
  • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
  • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
  • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

@crinrict Hi thanks for the advice. My pc actually had a full reset and I redownloaded the game because I was having a ton of bugs. So it was a fresh install with new files as if I had downloaded it on a new pc.I did this yesterday because at one point I downloaded reshaders and had that weird building glitch. I don't do anything but game so I just decided to factory reset because all of my games except sims 4 has cloud saves. I can still try this though.

@kitten5710 If you already did a factory reset then there's no need to do it again.

Did you reinstall the game as well ? (Bit unclear on that part).

Do you have this on all your saves ?

Do you still have reshade on ?

@kitten5710 Do you have any lastException files in your doc folder ? Does it t-pose on any action you do ?

Have you also tested a second save ?

@crinrict Ahhhh! My sims are doing this right now, too! I’m sort of new to this game so, what should I do if I have CC and custom mods? 😭😅

Outdated or broken mods will cause the T posing so the first thing you should do is to move your mods folder to your desktop, delete the localthumbcache file, start a new game and play for a while to see if the problem still happens.  If it doesn't, then there is something in your mods folder causing it so you will need to test your mods one by one and then together to see if you can find the one that causes it.  Once you do find it, you'll need to either update it if you can or remove it.  CC rarely causes the T pose issue so you can probably save test that last, but you should test all your CC just to make sure that you don't have a bad file or two.

    Hope this helps.
