Road to fame?

You cannot use parts of the mod as far as I know. You don't have to engage with certain features like the dancing but I don't recall being able to turn off fans. Either way it's totally broken and sacrificial is not consistent with updates so I haven't used it in a while.
The only other fame mod I know that is maintained is kiarasims fame mod. I don't know if it suits your purposes but it's the only other I have found.

Hi, I have used this mod since Get Famous came out. It has been updated since February of this year. Let me give you a link to it. As for not using it all, you can select Options under the Road to Fame menu that will allow you to enable or disable certain parts. Personally, I have had lots of fun with the Obsessed Fans, but alas, they kept getting into my Global Superstar, Rock Stars house, and one was found in his Toddler son's bedroom! Scary in its own right. Sadly, this fan and the other guy, both froze to death outside the security gates. I have disabled Obsessed Fans from generating on Erik's lot, since they were able to bypass the locking mechanism. :open_mouth: You will find this mod great fun and just what you need to create a Star. If you wish to have songs recognized by the Starlight Academy, you'll need to have your artist leveled up on whatever instrument they choose to write songs. NOT lyrics. Then license them and see if you get the nod. I do have a mod I use that disables the cool-down on licensing, which allows your Sim to license many songs in a week, or even the very same day, which ups the chances.

Okay, it took some doing but I finally found a link for you. This has been updated in 2023. I took the link From Sacrificial's Discord. Best of luck. Make certain you place it in your Mods folder in its own folder. Keep all the parts in this sub-folder. His mods don't play well with others, which is why a separate folder is desired.

Thanks so much for your help and the link @GalacticGal I didn't realize it had been updated that recently. I may try out the fans sure enough. I use a lot of other mods, mostly mods by adeepindigo and littlemssam. You mentioned it doesn't play well with other mods. Have you ever used those with Road to Fame? It sounds like a lot of fun, and I'd consider letting go of a few mods to try it out, if needed. Also, my Sim, Marlee, is level 10 with guitar, so she should be able to license songs. §10,000 is just the kind of money she's been needing. (She lives with, and cares for, her little brother and sister.)

I had a mod by LilMsSams, her 21 day season. It really messed up the Starlight Accolades Show BIG TIME. I reluctantly removed it and voila problem was resolved.

I have never used adeepindigo mods. I do use MCCC, SimRealist mods mainly SNB and SNB-Bills.

Another point about RTF, you'll need to either build or select a concert venue to add to your neighborhood, in order to hold concerts. Plus, the special rig is under Electronics/radios.

I don't use the 21 day seasons mod, but I have changed MCCC's time setting before and that messed up the calendar for me as well. I ended up creating a new save after that. Despite my extensive collection of mods, I'll probably still try it (after backing up my save of course) thanks for the tip about the concerts as well. I have a few lots in mind for that :)

Ok, so I got road to fame installed and so far it's working great! I didn't realise it had a separate fame system than get famous. There are options to enable/disable "road to fame" fame or "get famous" fame, with Get Famous fame being disabled by default it seems. My sim is level 3 fame in "Get Famous" fame (she did acting in the past), and level 0 in "Road to Fame" fame. It says she can become popular by posting on Simstagram, (which is also apparently separate from the Simstagram that comes with the game) I'm ok with her needing to gain fame and followers again, though. So far she's posted a few selfies and now has about 3000 followers. She's also practiced her singing and her HitBeat score is now 49. It said when it reaches 100 she can have a concert. My assumption is that she just needs to practice her professional singing skills and keep licensing lyrics through SimlishCloud. She also had licensed a guitar song via the mailbox before I installed Road to Fame. I'm still figuring out how it all fits together, but it seems to be exactly what I'm looking for. I have both RTF fame and Get Famous fame enabled. They do work quite nicely together. Also, one thing I learned about earning fame is to have the artist use a drone. While Erik was busy participating in the Karaoke Contest, he turned on his drone while he was performing. The more people who see our Sims perform, the better the chances to accrue fame. Have your Sim make a Simstagram account through RTF. That also helps. I had Erik learn how to model, too. He also has a 10 in Singing with the game, besides maxing out the Professional Singer. You can have your Sim purchase songs to record for §2500, for five songs. Takes 15 songs to make an album. But once you release an album, the HitBeat points will skyrocket. I also had him use a drone when he performed concerts. Erik always had his parents and 'many siblings' (as he refers to them) attend the Karaoke Contest and that way I could set them to Watch Karaoke. I can tell you are already excited about this mod. You're going to have a blast. One thing that's handy about the Obsessed Fans, is that often they will leave a plate of Ambrosia. At first that made me leery. Message? But Erik just sells them, earning §2500 for each plate. So nice of his fans to help him make albums. LOL
