Script Mods Are Causing Black Screen

I had same issue, followed the new user folder instructions but still have this problem of game not loading. i did a dxdiag and sent it as a reply to someone with EA. i have 50/50'd all my cc folders and mod folders with no issues in the cc and mods. it is the game itself. as always EA the gift that keeps giving and keeps screwing up the game with updates. one day someone may actually test the game before updating the game so these issues are somewhat avoided.

Unfortunately, it is up to modders to update their mods/script mods, and not EA to make their updates with with existing script mods/mods. And up to players to find out what mods are breaking their game.

Though it looks like their latest update is/was disabling of mass mods and showing content not owned/installed when it is. So there still might be a fix for that soon.

I have 3 script mods and (though not a script mod did give me black screen till I updated to a new version of the mod) the 5 traits in CAS mod. I just try bare minimum to spare the headache of issues with every update.

Even with so few script mods I still have to repair/clear cache (sometimes several times after an update). And I always back up my saves/tray/etc. It is just an occupational hazard to mod a game that still gets active updates.
