Sim dead but still playable

Question

Hey!so, I have been playing this same sim for a while now (I de-aged him because I couldn’t deal parting with him haha), and when he died, everything seemed to go well, but after the reaper left, I saw that the sim was still playable, just sleeping. So I woke him up and he can do pretty much everything a normal sim can do, but I cannot see him (Imagine an invisible sims going around playing the piano and such). Everyone is mourning but they still hold conversations with him if he shows up. Also, I cannot save and leave the game because he is in constant “dying” mode. It’s as if he is in limbo😅 I have tried resetting him but not much else.other than losing all my progress since the last save, what can I do?

@juls7193&nbsp;Do you have mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, do a "vanilla" test to see if a mod/CC is your problem: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.

Hi, thanks for answering! Should I exit the game without saving it before I delete the localthumbcache? Perhaps it’s a dumb question, because I can’t do anything else, but I just want to make sure I don’t do anything wrong😅

@juls7193 You can't delete files while you're in the game. You might consider doing a "Save As" and exiting, That way you have two easy versions to locate of your current game.

@juls7193 Then just exit without saving. You will still be able to test if he dies without mods.
