Sim dropping on the floor, feet missing, arms distorted

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.104.58.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Horse ranch, Werewolves Wedding Vampires Toddler stuff Tiny living Stragerville Snowy escape 4 seasons Romantic garden Realm of magic Parenthood Paranormal Outdoor retreat My first pet Coutryard oasis Kidds room Island living Home chef High school Growing together Greenhouse Get together Get to work Get famous Fitnes stuff Everyday clutter Eco lifestyle Dream home decorator Discover Uni Deco to the max Country kitchen Cottage living Cool kitchen City living Cats and dogs Bowling Book nook Blooming room Bathroom clutter Basement Treasure
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? The bug occurs in the second generation. Have to play a family till the kids become adults
What happens when the bug occurs? The bug occurs in the second generation. Sim drops on the floor (does not SIT on the floor, they collapse on the floor) with feet missing and arms distorted. The more I play the family, the worse it becomes to the point when the sim sits on the floor a few times per minute.
What do you expect to see? Walk normally.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

The issue first appeared at the beginning of January while playinng the 100 Babies challenge. I had been playing it for a while without any issues, but in the beginning of January, it all started.

Created another game. After a child of the main sim becomes an adult, they would "drop on the floor" (see the screenshot).

Created yet another game - same issue.

Removed all CCs - same issue

Removed all MODS! - same issue

Repaired the game - same issue

REINSTALLED the game!! - same issue

When it happens once per 10 min, it's not good, but I can play. But when it happens a FEW TIMES per minute, playing becomes so annoying I can't bear it.

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Repair the game
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
  • I have repaired the game once. Just out of curiosity, does repairing the game do anything that uninstalling the game and then installing it again does not? Because as I have mentioned, I actually did both.

  • Same problem. I can't find a solution to it anywhere. Even on another save and without mods this bug continues, and only with male sim it seems.

vinayota Please try the clean folder test explained here: https://forums.ea.com/discussions/the-sims-4-mods-and-custom-content-en/re-info-how-to-use-mods-and-cc/9360660#TestVanilla

luthienrising   The problem is not solved. I tried renaming the folder in The Sims 4 and it did not fix it either. During this bug, the sim gets a notification for a few seconds about the new baby trait "frequently hiccups", and after a few seconds it gets back to its normal pose. This happens very often

vinayota Please try this exact sequence:

    1. Rename the user folder
    2. Run a Game Repair
    3. Don't put anything back till after testing
    4. Launch in a new save only, not an old one.

Oh, I solved the problem yesterday. It might be related to CAS. Growing a Sim with a cake fixed the bug.
