Sim painting skill not working amymore

Sim painting skill is not working anymore so my 1st Sim her skill was moving pretty fast got up to level 10 but then had to delete her and made new sim editing Sim moved her in the same household I chose new sim to be painter as well it says level 5 or 6 but I got notified saying she was on level 9 but her picture she painting are not level 9 she when she got promoted it changed her work clothes now it's back to work clothed she had when she first started its odd not sure what to do should I start over she slowly get promoted but it's not matching up to level I keep getting messages saying I'm on certain lever whn I go the skills it says level 9

    The level of your job and the level of your skill are two different measurements. The one screenshot shows a promotion requirement for your job - reach painting level 6 - and this is checked off because at level 9 your sim has already achieved this. You just need to reach the top of the performance bar and get a check there too (you look pretty close and will probably do this the next work day) and you will get promoted.
