I was playing the Sims one day and all of a sudden the game plinks up a lesson about clumsy sims when I went on the treadmill and now she keeps screwing up tasks. This is incredibly irritating because never once have I given her this trait and its not even listed in her active traits. Ive tried to remove it by resetting her, adding the trait then removing it through various means but the damn thing refuses to go away.
If your Sim is a Spellcaster then look under curses.

Instead of choosing "Add traits" I selected "Remove traits" and the clumsy trait was there and has been removed.
I am on ps4 and having this issue, just got the clumsy trait pop-up lesson yet my sim doesn't show having the clumsy trait. She is a spellcaster but has no curses. I drank a curse be gone to be sure and got a notification that she has no curses to remove. I can't use mods on ps4 so the solution that worked for OP can't work for me.
@LoloRockit Did you create the Sim yourself ? Do you have any other symptoms than the pop-up ?
I had a bunch of traits I really didn't want pop up. You have the opportunity to say yes or no to accept these changes. Have to admit I wasn't paying attention and accepted a lot. I have U.I. Cheats though so under their personal information like reputation I found the unwanted trait, right clicked and removed. Hope this might help others who have U.I. cheats and may just not be aware that this exists. Quick and painless.
