Sims’ autonomy and household management

How can I make my sims that are in other households automatically go to work? Also, is it possible to manage 3 different households with multiple people? I think doing it the traditional way is hard.

  • @icebunny08 Hello!  There is no way to control sims that are not in your active household.  I completely understand why you're asking this.  So many times I'm like "Why is that sim at the bar right now?  They're supposed to be at work / school!"  Only the active household maintains strict adherence to work and school times.  My advice for that? Just go with it because I don't think it will change.  🙂

As for managing multiple households, I think many people play on a rotation.  Personally, I stick to one household at a time because, as you said, it is hard to manage.  If you play with aging on, it can be really difficult, since unplayed sims do not progress on their own.  So, if you do want to play more than one household at a time, you might want to change the lifespan to long or turn it off completely and age up sims when you think they should be.  Maybe you could just play around with different rotations and see what works best for you.  Maybe start by playing one family for a week, then switch to another, then another and so on.  I'm sure with time you will find a rotation you like (or you'll come over to my side and decide to just stick with one 😉 )  Hope this helps!
