Sims 4 crashes on CAS male Sims

@Lenaxdo  Have you tested with no mods and no custom content at all?  If not, please do so now.  You don't need to save your progress, or you can start a(nother) new save.

If the game crashes with no mods or cc, please let me know when it happens, and also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@puzzlezaddict Yes. I removed my mods, only kept in CC - it still crashed. It does not happen when chosing non CC clothes, but then again it is totally fine chosing CC clothes for my female sims. It doesn't make any sense to me that it happens with only male sims. 

I also tried out creating a new save file. I created a male Sims with the same CC clothes. I was able to leave CAS normally and chose a lot, but as soon as I chose a lot it crashed again. Again, this only happens since the last update. 
Putting the male CC on my female sims does not crash my game. So I am not sure what is wrong here with the male sims.

I am not 100% sure if it is truly fixed now, but I took out all my CC from SeoulSims and since then I didn't had any crashes. So it might been the Custom Content from SeoulSims, eventhough I didn't even put it on my Sim. Not sure if it is truly fixed now, but I'll try it out over the evening now to see if there are any crashes.

@Lenaxdo Thank you for identifying a possible culprit! CC was definitely your go-to here, and it's the presence of the file, not using it, that makes the most difference. If you're able to narrow it down to a particular file, I'd be interested in knowing (that does also take a lot of localthumbcache deleting!).

@luthienrising It indeed seemed to be SeoulSims CC and several files caused the issue.

It seems like their CC simply does not work atleast for me since the problem happened with every single file. 

Thanks @Lenaxdo I'll grab some of that and see if I can fit in some testing this weekend. It's odd that it's all files from the same creator.

@luthienrising The problem appeared again. I didn't add anything new. Already made a 50/50 and tried to sort it out, but it still happens.

@Lenaxdo Try creating a clean folder as a base to start from:

1. Exit Sims 4 then drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
2. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options.
3. Start with New to test if your issue recurs.

If that works:

1. Exit and copy files out of your old Saves folder into the new Saves folder. Important: Don't just copy the old folder! You want to use the newly created folders.
2. Launch Sims 4 and use Load to select an older save to test.

If that works, you can copy your old Tray files (this is your Library), Screenshots and Videos files and then start adding mods/CC to test.

@luthienrising I just did that and it started crashing again as soon as I put my CC back in. It seems like the last update my CC is completely broken.. ☹️

@Lenaxdo Could you please test with a new piece of CC, freshly downloaded? Try something by, say, nucrests or Wistful Castle.

Might be worth also first doing a full new folder if you haven't recently:

1. Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop. Make sure you're doing this with the folder the game sees.
2. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options.
3. Exit and use a new save to do your testing before you start putting old content back.
   
   

@luthienrising I tried that out when starting with a new folder before, but it still happens. It also still happens on male sims only, so I would be able to play without creating or editing male Sims. But it really bothers me that this is the case. 

I also noticed that the crashes now don't really follow a pattern anymore. I sorted my CC Folders with Tops, Bottoms, Fullbody, Furniture and so one. When I tried it first, it worked until I put Furtniture in. Then I spend hours trying to figure it out, but I couldn't. So I again put everything out and suddently it crashes with folders I already tested and worked before. So I can't even tell which CC it is at this point.
