Sims 4 crash/shutdown

Question

I am a novice when it comes to computer lingo. My game has been shutting down during play and I've lost all my progress?

Ive done a repair, but is there something else I could try, I do use one or two Sims cheats but only as advised, I dont download to modify things like hair or furniture etc

Can anyone help please?
