Sims 4 error code 22 message

Hello, please help. Earlier today, I downloaded a couple mods (2 of them were script mods) just to test them out, I try not to get too crazy. The rest was CC from trusted creators on Curseforge. However, when I started the game for some reason I immediately hit save and was taken to the "select a world screen" and received the "error code 22" message. I could still hear my sims talking in the background though.

I tried a clean reboot, I was trying to try the cache method but when I try to copy my save folders to my desktop or another folder,  it says Slot000002 (my main family that I play on) cannot be read. I do not want to try to solve that slot issue to avoid displacing the files or messing anything else up, so I do not continue the transfer.

I think the issue has something to do with Slot000002, or with the 2 script mods I downloaded. I am also aware that it could be because of an update to the Sims 4 game. Does anyone know if the game was updated today? (12/01/23)  While trying to troubleshoot this issue, I tried to update my own system in my windows 10 as well.

P.S. When I open and one of my households (where there's only one sims in the household) it actually saves and there are no issues. On my other households I am receiving Error Code 22. Please give as many suggestions as possible! I don't want to start over ☹️

    Hi @lapizvirtuexx . "Slot000002" is the name of your whole current game, not just the household you play in it. You'll see that listed in the Saves folder. You may need to recover a previous version of that game.

    Let's try this, to refresh a lot of things at once:

    1. Drag the whole Sims 4 folder out of Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 to your desktop.
    2. Start the game, redo the Options how you like them, and test that you can start a new game without issues.
    3. Exit. Now copy the files (all of them) for Slot000002 from inside the old Saves folder into the new one.
    4. Start the game and use Load to pick your usual game.

    If that doesn't work:

    1. Go back to an earlier version of (“roll back”) your game: Select Load Game, go to your usual game, but don’t select Play. Instead, click on the disk symbol with a back arrow. This will show you a list of earlier versions of that save. Only the most recent times you saved will be here. Pick one from before you downloaded new content and select Recover.
    2. If that works, use "Save As" to give this a new name (it will also get a new Slot number in the Saves folder).
    3. If it doesn't, try an earlier version until you have a working one.

    Once you have a working game:

    1. Exit the game
    2. Make a copy of your new Saves folder on your desktop for safekeeping.
    3. Add mods and CC back in batches and test each batch before adding new ones. For the new mods you added, check if they appear on the lists in the Broken/Updated Mods thread and double check installation instructions on the script mods.
