Sims 4 exiting after leaving CAS or loading a different household

Question

Hi there,I am unable to play The Sims as every time I try to do anything that requires a loading screen, my game just quits. I'm not getting any Last Exception or Last Crash reports.I do use a modded game however I have completely removed my mods file, cleared the cache and tested on a vanilla save that I have - the game will load into the household without any issue but if I try to switch household or leave CAS, the game just closes itself. I'm at a loss for what to do as it doesn't seem to be caused by mods as I still get the crash/surprise quit with the mods folder removed.I've clean installed my graphics driver, updated GShade, tried multiple saves - same issue repeatedly. This has occurred since the latest patch I believe.Please help as I'm pulling my hair out trying to fix!Thank you

@BeckskaSims If you switch to DX9 does it work? If so, you might need to uninstall and reinstall Gshade for DX11 (based on what people who use it have said - however, you can get proper support for the Gshade software elsewhere.

If not, please try this sequence:

Uninstall Gshade complete
Rename the user folder: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling/
Run a Game Repair in the EA App
Open the game and test in a new save (you should have no option to load an existing one)

I may end up sending you to Sims 4 tech support depending on what you tell me.
