Sims 4 Game Won't Launch after TSR Mod Downloads?

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? No number?
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? The Sims Pets, The Sims Seasons, The Sims Holiday Stuff, The Sims Get to Work, the Sims Vampire, the Sims 4 base game.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know? I have tried all troubleshooting and it still appears to be unable to launch. Last time I had this issue it was because I had installed my mods on one drive and the sims game as well. I disabled that and reinstalled on my desktop. I reinstalled a bunch of mods and continuously checked to make sure it was working, and it did. I downloaded a couple of more yesterday and woke up to play, and now it will now launch.
What happens when the bug occurs? EA App will Launch, the sims 4 will appear to be "loading" to launch, but then the EA app flickers and re-opens and nothing happens.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see my game launch and not have issues every single time i download a bunch of mods. is this something new with the game? out of all the years i have played, i have never had these issues before...
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I was downloading a bunch of Mods from the Sims Resource with the Sims Resource Manager like I always do. I continued to check up while downloading to make sure the game launched and it did. When I downloaded a bunch of mods again the next day, and left it over night, I came back thinking I would be okay to play and low and behold the game will not launch and now I am left wondering why.

SIMS 4 GAME WON'T LAUNCH AFTER DOWNLOADING MODS FROM THE SIMS RESOURCE (USING THE SIMS RESOURCE DOWNLOAD MANAGER.)

As a fellow lover of the Sims series and playing since the Sims 2, I have always used downloads/mods for my sims because I didn't like the clothing choices or the style of some furniture/rooms. I am sorry, EA, but, I want to be able to design a little more better, and I know I am not the only one! There is a huge community in fact called, The Sims Resource, and you can download a bunch of different mods from there, they even made an install manager that automatically puts it on the game for you! So much easier than back in the day where you had to extract and move all the files into a mod folder. Anyways, I was downloading my mods and continued to open the Sims 4 game as I went about it to make sure the game was still working and wouldn't "not launch" like it did the first time...

The First time > My sims game wouldn't launch but it was figured out to be that I had downloaded it onto onedrive, as well as the Mods and there was no space.

Now, it is doing this again... except, I have downloaded my Sims 4 game onto my actual computer hard drive and it is still not launching. So, I am unsure what is going on. My computer has plenty of space as I checked, and I have trouble shot every angel I possibly could.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and the game.
I deleted all the mods and re-did them.
I cleared the cahche from the EA App
I have repaired the games.
I have restarted my computer.
I made sure the game was up to date.

This is my last and only hope now as I reach out to you guys, I hope that I will be able to play my game soon. I hope that this is fixed for good I am tired of having this issue and not even knowing what is going on.

Thank you for your help ahead of time, and hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
A sad Sim Player. ☹️

  • i am having the same issue, been scouring the internet for people who have this same issue right now. i moved from origin to ea app this week (havnt played in a while) and i reinstalled and added my saves, tray, and mods. the game works fine wihtout my cc and mods. i added mods back slowely and was able to get the game to load by pressing play and alt tabbing to task manager and ending "ea background service" and magically the game would load and i could play. as of today when i try that trick, it just closes the ea app and i cant play...im starting to think because my downloads were originally for origin, now they just kinda corrupt the ea app somehow ??? so frustrating!

  • @Gagea25 it was cc for me. did 50 /50 method and realised i put in a ton of kerrigan house desgns furniture sets into my game to try, which is extremly high poly for each item, so it was not letting me launch.

@ChiaraBrooke i would reccomend looking up the 50/50 corrupt cc method to find what exactly prevents it to launch as normal. youll basically create a backup folder and add amounts in to your main game again until a certain batch ruins the launch, and then weed those items out
  • @hopienoelle I feel like this has been happening since the new EA app was installed and it is super frustrating. I just want to play my games with mods. I can't even download and use Origin anymore instead because the EA app creators have disband that. I hope they fix this soon... this shouldn't be a problem.
  • @hopienoelle Wow, that is gonna take a long * time, but I will keep this in notes next to my desk so when I do have the time I can do this. Thank you! Hoping it works.

Wondering what mods it was that caused this corruption.
