Hi! I was hoping someone could help me with this issue. I have multiple mods downloaded that have apps or features on your sim’s mobile phone but for me nothing is showing up on the mobile phone except base game features despite every other aspect of the mods working perfectly fine. I tried searching up online how to fix the issue but couldn’t find anything at all. I’ve spent days trying to fix my game after it broke out of absolutely no where so someone please help me!
@pippinsmaximoff I'm not positive I'm clearly interpreting your meaning, so please bear with me if I'm misunderstanding... Can I clarify a few things:
Are you saying that you have you have added multiple Mods to your game that alter the in-game Sims' phones?
And you are saying that the only features in these apps that are showing on your phone have to do with basegame features?
Do you only have the basegame?
What packs do you have?
What do you mean when you say your game broke?
Did this 'break' occur after adding a particular Mod, or after a particular game update/patch?
Were there any other game changes you made before the break in the game?
Can you also share screenshots of the issue?
Have you made sure your game is fully updated, run a game repair, and checked if your Mods/CC are causing the issue? Please also check with Mod creators to see if there are known issues with the Mod(s). (Open spoiler tags for directions.)
How to run a game repair: • Open Origin, click ‘Game Library’ then right-click Sims 4 > Repair Game • Let it run until it has completed all repairs. It will do the base game first, then run through each of your DLCs (Expansion Packs, Game Packs, Stuff Packs and Kits).
Test without the mods to see if the game then behaves properly as follows:
Try moving the Mods folder from your "The Sims 4" folder [Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4] to your desktop (save it for reference) and delete the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder. Then check in a new game save to see if this issue is still occurring. You can test without saving in order to identify which CC/Mods are causing the issue, then remove or add updated version(s) of the Mod/CC causing the issue.
When were the mods that affect the phone released? Anything made before this summer's phone overhaul is likely broken. You could check and see if there are any updates available for them.
Excellent point, @PipMenace 🙌! @pippinsmaximoff , if you have not seen this information at the top of the 'Game and Mod/CC Issues' forum area, you can check to see if any of the Mods/CC you have are known to be on experiencing issues:
I had this issue, then I checked my game setting ("Other" section). Make sure you check the option that allows Scripts. Once I made that change, and restarted the game, everything was working again.
