Sims 4 romance topic not showing up

I was playing with a sim and WHILE I WAS PLAYING, the romance interaction bar stopped appearing. I'm sure it has nothing to do with mods/cc because I haven't added any in awhile and everything was fine until it just randomly stopped working. I'm not sure how to fix it.

 

Great I got rid of my cc just in case and now my sim has a bears for some reason

    @mel1ron 

    Were both Teens when they started romancing and did one age up to Young Adult, If so that is normal. You have to wait for the other to age up before the romance option reappears.

    Regarding the bear costume it is normal for children to go through a phase where they wear that. Either of the parents may also wear it in sympati with their child.
