Sims 4 Saved file switched to a different language

    @ScreenName000001  The Sims 4 user folder is localized in a few languages, including French: as you can see, your old content is in a "Les Sims 4" folder rather than a "The Sims 4" folder.  That includes not only saves but other user data like game settings.  When running in French, the game will only read "Les Sims 4"; in English (and most other languages), it'll only read "The Sims 4."  In either case, if the game doesn't find a folder with the correct name, it'll create a new one.

    Do you want to play in French or English?  If you'd prefer French, change the game's language in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, select Game Properties > Advanced Launch Options, and choose French from the dropdown menu.  Origin will take a bit of time to repair, and then you'll be playing in French and have all your user data back.

    If you'd prefer to play in English, at least for now, just copy your saves and anything else you'd like to use from the "Les Sims 4" folder to the "The Sims 4" folder.  For reference, here's a description of everything in the user folder:
