@aubdal16 CC &/or Mods that are in the game, and sometimes that have been removed but have left cache in the game, can affect your game in ways that may or may not make sense. Including Mods/CC that seem to have no logical connection to the issue. Even installing the latest version of a Mod/CC does not guarantee that there is not a conflict that's affecting the game due to a more recent game update or due to a Mod/CC update that did not fully address issues.
Maybe you could wait to see if the issue happens again, or if it was a one-time glitch. If it's re-occurring, you can try testing the Mods/CC, and take out the cache file. (Directions in spoiler tag.):

Exit the game. Move the Mods folder from your "The Sims 4" folder [Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4] to your desktop (save it for reference) and delete the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder. Then check in a new game save to see if this issue is still occurring. You can then test without saving – or in a new vanilla game save – in order to identify which CC/Mods are causing the issue. Then remove or add updated version(s) of the Mod/CC causing the issue.
