hi! macbook pro user here! i had the same problem too but i found a solution.
my suggestion is to turn off your wifi and try to launch the game.
for some reason, when i turned off my wifi and tried to launch the game, i would get an error message back from macOS specifically telling me what file was not letting the game open. i attached a photo of what the error msg looks like.
from there, you can remove said file from your mods folder and continue to do this cycle until the game launches and you receive no error message.
i had to get rid of at least 20 different files ☹️ but worth it especially if you have 600+ plus mods/cc.
i'm aware you can "go offline" on the EA app, but the error message will not pop up unless you turn off your wifi completely.
so, not a complete solution bc you're deleting certain broken or corrupted cc/mods, but at least you get to turn on your game and keep the cc/mods that survived lol
hope this helps!
i tried this and absolutely 0 mods survived, there is literally no broken mods my game is just completely broken. i got an error message for every file until the messages stopped showing up bc all cc was gone and it just wont launch
