Sims are not doing any action

Hey,

I build a new house for rent and since my Sims are living there, they are not able to do any action. They will start (but it takes really long) and never finish. I tried to restart the game and the Mac, but still the same problem. The game also said, that the rent is unbelievable high - like 4 Billion Simlones or something like that. I just used the move objects cheat to place a few things. No mod is installed.
