Sims cancelling actions

My sims aren't listening to meeee. Whenever I try to have them perform an action, the action will appear in the queue, then it disappears. I can't get them to do literally anything. This issue is only happening to certain sim households. I have some households that play fine, but my main ones don't. I have tried debugging the unresponsive sims and that does nothing. Please help :/ I do have cc so that could be the problem, but I don't know how to fix it. And I don't get how some households work fine and others don't, when I have cc in all households.
