Sims cannot interact with infants

I need someone's help I have not played Sims since September but just yesterday I got three new packs, high school years, Snowy Escape, and cottage living. I downloaded the pack and updated my game, and updated my mods, but when I started to play the game the adult sims can interact with each other but they cannot interact with their infants every time I try to get my sims to interact with the infant it does not not pop up on the queue but it makes that sound when you get them to do something and when  they try they bug out and do that weird pose. I have had many bugs when it came to the growing together pack but none like this. I have tried everything from taking out the mods one by one, restarting the game, restarting my laptop, and I even pressed repair on the Ea app but for some reason, it is not working. So someone please give me some advice I would appreciate it.

  • @jackiepc2005 This is most often a mods issue. Start with a check through the Broken/Updated Mods lists and make sure to delete localthumbcache each time you change what's in the folder. And rather than just removing mods one by one (and custom content!), pull them all out, delete localthumbcache, and test in batches: 50-50

@jackiepc2005 The localthumbcache is a file you'll find in the main Sims 4 game folder, same place you find your Mods subfolder. Anytime you need to make changes to the Mods you're using in game, you want to make sure you delete this or it can cause issues.

As far as the worlds being duplicated, there is current thread with a workaround for this (link below). Check it out and see if this sounds like the issue you're seeing. If so, this should take care of it 🙂

Hi, so I tried deleting localthumbcache that did not work. But I also tested the game without any cc or mods and my sims could interact with their infant. So it is probably my cc it's just that I have a lot of it to go through and figure out which one is the problem.

@jackiepc2005 One cause can often be that complex gameplay mods aren't installed right - they're missing files - so check installation requirements for those as well.
