Sims Stuck in Self Care Mode at Home

I was recently playing the sims and my sim completely vanished from the lot and was 100% unplayable although they appeared in self care mode as if they were an unattended sim at home while another active sim was on a different lot. I finally found a solution to this problem after much trial and error, best of all is doesn't involve deleting sims,mods,saves or anything else. Go to Manage worlds, find the lot your sim is stuck on, evict your sim from the lot, move your sim back into the lot, your sim will be back on the lot and playable again
