I have tried different households, I have changed tvs, I have replaced the game console. I have closed and restarted multiple times. I have tried repairing the game. UnorthoBox Gaming Console is Disconnected. It doesn't matter how close it is to the tv. It just doesn't work.

This is the issue. Whichever console was next to the tv first will be the one it uses. I thought my Dream Cube was broken until I moved my Unorthobox out of the room, and then it worked fine. When I put my Unorthobox back, it no longer worked, but the Dream Cube did. So I guess one console at a time per tv. Thank you for mentioning this. It seems so simple, but then again so does thinking that more than one game console would work on a tv at a time lmao.
The Tags for console connections on TVs were changed in Cozy Patch. Maxis did edit the Object Catalog binary files on all TVs to change these Tags. All CC TVs will need to reflect this new change. But if you have other mods that do things to TVs, such as a surface mod that allows you to place surface TVs on smaller surfaces like shelves, they too will need updating as they also use the same (now outdated) binary files in their mods.
Glad to know it's not just me i can only use the console with base games tv's none of the others work.
Okay I found the solution for myself. I downloaded the latest version of sims4studio (https://sims4studio.com/board/6/download-sims-studio-open-version), and I used objects fix in content management. Thanks for your input 🙂
Both, I got CC objects (TVs, consoles) and game objects and they don't work. It happened after the last update.
I've tried to fix it via sims4 studio and the fix didn't work either.
Is this for a TV from the game or CC ?

There's a known issue with custom content TVs. Are you using any ?
I had the same message. The problem was that I had two game consoles near the TV. One was functioning and the other one had this message. I guess sims TV's can only handle one game console at a time. Moving the other console to another room fixed the non-functional one for me.
This might be a new message. The last patch added in the current reward items including a new console. If I understand this game correctly, that patch must have moved functionality for gaming consoles from city living to base game. Perhaps some functionalities were changed.
