In the area of the counter where the dishes disappear are there any shelves on the wall or nearby half walls? Put the walls up and check everywhere to make sure they aren't placing dishes on an unreachable surface. Even if a shelf is too high to reach and you think they'd never toss plates on it, they will; and even though they can place dirty dishes and glasses on high shelves they won't be able to retrieve them.
Yes, there are walls and some shelves but when I checked with the walls up, they aren’t there. It’s weird bc the sim will place the dishes down on the counter and they disappear. If I click on the dishwasher for the sim to load it. The sim will go to the counter, pick up the plate then set them back down in the same spot and they disappear again.
@artofficial100 Please always remove your mods/cc before reporting at the bug forum. If they disappear, that sounds like a mod issue more than the known bugs that are around with shelves.
I'll move this to game and mods issues for now for further troubleshooting.
Haha uhh so I didn’t take my mods out and before you stop reading, I have a test save file where I check everything before and after adding new mods or taking them out… well the sims in that save file have no issues washing dishes. When I opened the save file they didn’t have a dishwasher so I had them eat a few times and they washed dishes in the sink w/o me telling them to.
once I added a dishwasher on the lot, they continued the trend of washing their dishes without me telling them to.
so now that we know it isn’t the mods, what other options or solutions do you have for me? Could it be bc I am currently building the lot for the save file that won’t wash dishes? And by building, I mean I finished putting in the kitchen etc but have other rooms to create on the lot before the house is complete.
I can’t understand why that would be the issue bc as I said in the original post they used to wash dishes on this lot just not often or every time like in my test save. My test save has no issues washing dishes, but the save being referenced in the original post does.
