Sims wont open with symlink after putting mods back in

So recently I have decided to move my sims 4 to an 1tb external drive on my mac (formatted in mac journaled) because it was taking up all of my storage with the amount of cc i have. I did the bluebel...

@themercds  What format does your external drive have?  Is there any pattern to the types of mods that do or don't work, for example maybe files that end in .ts4script are fine but .package files are not?

Please also download a fresh copy of a mod that's confirmed updated for the current patch level (1.90.375) and see whether it works.
