Sims4 in game “View custom content” folder is empty

I yesterday got a problem, I updated my game and my antivirus (Avast free antivirus) told me that a file in my folder was dangerous, I decided to block it. After that when I opened up sims and went to enable mods I saw that the ingame folder was completely empty, even though the mods are still in my document -> electronic arts -> Sims4 -> Mods. I tried to take the mods out and put them back in, but it didn’t work. I really need help.
