SOLVED: Inventory unavailable for social interactions in 105 (mac OS)

Posting because I did play without mods, CC, etc. The issue happened without mods as well (including playing a save without MCCC). I've updated, meticulously added mods and CC back that are definitely or supposedly up-to-date thanks to amazing modders who got on it fast!

For anyone still having this issue, I had a long overdue thumnailpackage to delete. After posting, I tried it and all is well! Gifts, fertilizers, bun buns and birds...maybe deleting the thumbnailpackage will help someone else...

Sims's inventories won't come up for any social interaction the inventory is required. For example, I can no longer give gifts or contribute to the 'charity drives' at 'For Rent' properties. The only pack I haven't tested the inventory problem with is Chef Hustle booths. I doubt that would be a problem; drag and drop items works.

It's especially odd because no LEs, script errors and whatnot for me to try to track down the culprit or post on MCCC discord...

Someone responded to my other post they don't play with mods and they're having the same issue. They also can't put stuff in the fridge. I don't have that issue.

Anyone else? Anyone suggestions?

I initially thought this was an error related to gardening; the game doesn't open the inventory for me to choose a fertilizer.

It's for sure frustrating but I'm patient. Not mad.

I hope this post is clear/makes sense lol. I did my best to see if this was a topic already mentioned/handled. Apologies if this has already been solved. If so, I would appreciate a link to the post with the solution. I appreciate any help!

PS it's not my  Mac OS either, that's a given.
