Stuck on main menu

Question

After launching the Sims 4 and clearing the mods tab, my screen stays dim and I cannot click anything except for the minimise and close.

I’ve restarted my PC

ive repaired the game

ive cleared everything from my task manager

I’ve cleared my %temp% file

ive done all my updates

has this happened to anyone else? And how do I fix it. I feel like I’ve tried everything.

@oficialbribri Please try this test:

Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop.
Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents &gt; Electronic Arts &gt; The Sims 4. I
Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem.
