Temporarily disable mods?

It will only effect your game if you save your game while mods are disabled. Any CC used on ANY sim or house in the world will be permanently removed.

It's fine, just don't save the game while CC is disabled. If you have to test something, make a separate world/save called "NOCC" and only use that one when CC is disabled. If you accidentally save on your NOCC save, it won't matter.

What I would do would be to make a copy of my game save, then uncheck the box that allows mods in your game. Then play the copy to see what it is you want to do. This way if something wrong happens your game save is still safe.
