the sims 4 copyrighted/lisenced BGM

Hello... How come you use "We Are Young" in the radio track? I got copyright claim today just because of the song. Could you please check which song you use? There are a lot of streamers out there and I'm one of them. I got a copyright claim just because of the song which isn't my mistake.

  • @AlphaIsTimZ Sims music in youtube videos often triggers a copyright claim. This doesn't mean EA is not allowed to use it in the game (they often do collabs with artists to use their songs), it just means you need to change the sound if you upload it to youtube as you're not allowed to upload the video with ingame music.

Here's an older thread with a discussion on the topic: https://forums.thesims.com/EN_US/discussion/844596/youtube-copyright-question

  • Any Simlish version or cover of a real song is heavily copyrighted by both EA and the artist. Thankfully The Sims DOES include songs that will not get you copyright claimed so you can have the in game music and do your streams, YT vids, etc without worries. Those are Simlish original songs (songs that only exist in Simlish and made for the game.). So you need just to set your Sims 4 music settings only to play Simlish original songs and you can play with the object music on 100% without worry of copyright. I made a full guide digging through every song in The Sims 4 that will not get you copyrighted. Here is the full guide and safe song list for The Sims 4 . You can ONLY do this for The Sims 4 as it is the only game that lets you pick exactly which songs come on the radio. Hope this helps and happy streaming! :D
