The sims

So I tried to play my sims 4 gam on ea, ive never downloaded mods and it was working like a few days prior but when i try to play it says 

Unable to start, can not start because game data is missing, or damaged. If you have mods installed please remove them and try again. if not, please repair or reinstall the game via origin.  

which I have done alll of that :c

    Hi @brie0404 

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
